Youth Rowing Camp

Who is this program for?

  • Athletes 12 years old and older of any experience level!
  • New rowers who want to learn how to row in a fun environment, and who want to spend lots of time in a boat understanding the rowing motion.
  • We primarily cater to Learn-to-Row athletes but do offer an Advanced-Level group for athletes with rowing experience.
  • Our Learn-to-Row group and Advanced-Level group practice at the same times but are split based on experience level.
  • Our Advance-Level camp offer experienced rowers the chance to get better at sculling in a gig single, and to get lots of water time through the week.

What will you learn?

The goal of this program is two-fold. For our Learn-to-Row athletes we aim to teach them the basics of the stoke, and to show them the joys of the sport. For our more experienced rowers we aim to help them master the basics of the stroke, and to give them valuable time on the water. Athletes will typically learn in a single, where they learn sculling with two oars. Learning to row in a sculling boat is valuable to any level. For learn to row athletes sculling teaches them body control, and it gives them personal responsibility over their boat.
