ROWING THROUGH THE PANDEMIC

At Whitemarsh Boat Club, the safety of our club members and staff is paramount. Throughout the pandemic, we’ve remained vigilant, adhering to strict standards while also continuing to provide opportunities for youth and adult rowing. We continue to monitor virus cases in the Montgomery County area and adhere to all local, state and US Rowing guidelines.

We currently permit single sculling, except when weather and river conditions do not permit it, and limited use of other boats depending on meeting certain criteria. We have strict cleaning, social distancing, contact tracing recording, and other safety precautions in place.

With the ever-changing nature of the pandemic, the information on the website may not reflect current programming. If you have questions about adult or juniors program, please contact Marie Leonard at whitemarshboatclub@gmail.com.

We are currently working on a winter training program, knowing that our traditional ergometer room practices will not be permitted. Our goal is to help all of our members keep up their fitness and training goals and stay connected socially, while putting safety above all.
