Our Mission
Whitemarsh Boat Club (WBC) seeks to foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for rowers and prospective rowers of all levels, ages, backgrounds, abilities, races, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. WBC promotes sportsmanship, friendship, and good physical and mental health through competitive and recreational rowing.
ADULT ROWING
Whitemarsh Boat Club “masters” members (a master is anyone age 21 and up regardless of experience) represent a diverse range of ages, experience and skill levels. Many members learned to row as adults through a WBC Learn to Row class. Other members rowed in high school or college and are returning to the sport as adults.
All, regardless of background, are welcomed and integrated into the life of the club through our spirit of inclusiveness.
YOUTH ROWING
Whitemarsh Boat Club offers year-round rowing and racing opportunities for male and female middle school and high school students from across the Delaware Valley.
The Schuylkill River at Conshohocken offers an ideal place to train and the Club’s location near the intersection of I-76 and 476 gives easy access for families from across the region. Our programs are designed so everyone (ie all skill levels) has a place in our organization.
