Masters Learn to Row

What is this program & Who is it for?

This is a 4-week program that we offer three times through the summer months of June, July, and August. This program is for adults who want to learn to row. Athletes will graduate the course with a fundamental understanding of the basics of the rowing stroke, and rowing equipment.

What will you learn?

  • Learn the basic movement: Arms, Body, Legs, Body, Arms.
  • Basic squaring and feathering skills.
  • Rowing in team boats.
  • Anatomy of rowing and training equipment.
  • Essential rowing terminology.

Program Expectations & Practice Schedule

Program #1 will run in June. Program #2 will run in July. And program #3 will run in August. Please check back as we get closer to the start of the programs for more information about practices.

Athletes are expected to:

  • Attend all sessions. Please let your coaches know well in advance if you must miss a session.
  • Be healthy and able to swim. You do not need to provide an ECG but let us know ahead of time about any limiting physical issues.

Program Information

Registration for these programs will open in early May. There are a limited number of slots in these programs, and registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure to register early!
