Meet the Coaches

Coach Jason’s passion for rowing started in 1990 at the University of Richmond, where he helped restart the 130-year-old rowing club, bringing it back to life and collegiate competition. As a German scholar in college, he also studied in Munster, Germany, where he learned the German sculling technique and became a member of the Akademische Ruderverbindung Westfalen, one of the oldest student rowing corporations in Germany.

Jason joined Whitemarsh Boat Club as a member in 2021 where he became involved in both club and masters competitive rowing. He then became a coach at Whitemarsh, instructing masters learn-to-row programs, youth technique development, and youth racing teams. In addition, he is a Level 2 instructor for USRowing Coach Development Program.
